Michael Wu brings more than eleven years of operating experiences from engineering consultancy and product management to senior and executive management, and acts as venture advisor and fundraiser to multiple high-tech and real estate ventures.

Michael is serving as Chief Operating Officer for Glenstate d/b/a Tommy Bear USA, where he has led business development, acquisition and expansion, sales and operations of the company in North America.  Prior to that, Michael was Senior Manager at Nextel Communications, where he led product management efforts for Nextel's new-generation mobile phones and Public Safety initiatives.  Prior to Nextel, Michael was Senior Product Manager at Siemens and also held product management and technical marketing roles at Ericsson, where he launched over 20 mobile phones and data devices in a four-year period.  Prior to joining Ericsson, Michael spent three years at Nortel, where he led the early commercialization effort of the CDMA technology in the U.S. and was also an engineering consultant for Nortel's fiber optics networking group for two years.

Michael currently serves as the Interim COO/GM for Glenstate and as the Interim CEO for Geyser Pump Tech Co.  Michael is a venture advisor to NuLambda and is also a member of the Board of Directors of Glenstate, Geyser Pump Tech, and the NC Venture of National Association of Asian American Professionals.

Michael holds an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, M.S. in both Electrical Engineering and Management of Technology from Georgia Tech, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with high distinction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.  He is a Chartered Financial Analyst candidate. Michael is an avid real estate investor and is pursuing his broker's license in NC.  He has also invested in premier restaurants and feature film productions around the U.S.  He is fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese, German, and English.
